OUR 3D ENVIRONMENT ART WORKFLOW
We start by reviewing the project brief, visual direction, references, technical requirements, and final usage of the environment. This helps us understand the target mood, scale, complexity, deliverables, and production limits before we begin.
Based on the brief and references, we break down the environment into modular pieces, shared assets, reusable props, and unique hero elements. This helps us define a more efficient production plan, prioritize what matters most, and align the scope with the project’s budget and timeline.
We create a blockout model to validate the layout, scale, composition, asset plan, and overall direction of the environment. This stage helps clarify production priorities, identify missing pieces, and give both teams a clearer view before moving into full asset production.
We produce the required environment assets based on the approved breakdown and blockout direction, including modular kits, props, architectural pieces, trims, materials, and unique set pieces. Each asset is created with attention to visual quality, usability, and how it supports the larger scene.
After the assets are ready, we assemble the environment scene, refine asset placement, apply materials, set up lighting, and create the final visual presentation. The goal is to make the environment feel cohesive, readable, and aligned with the intended mood.
Before delivery, we review the scene and assets for performance, file organization, material setup, naming, scale, and production readiness. We clean up the final files and prepare the environment for the next stage of your pipeline.
